Flooring Installation Agreement

Thank you for choosing us to install your flooring. We appreciate your business and are committed to excellence in our work. The following is our agreement for the installation. For maximum value and satisfaction, you and we, J&E Tile and Flooring Inc., agree to the following:

Flooring

  • The description of the flooring we are installing for you is detailed on the quote provided. By signing below, you are indicating that you have reviewed the quote closely and that the details are all correct. J&E Tile and Flooring Inc. is authorized to receive the flooring from the manufacturer on your behalf as your authorized agent.

 

Payment

  • J&E Tile and Flooring Inc requires FULL Payment for materials prior to placing all orders and a 25% Deposit on the labor involved, if applicable. For Labor only projects a 50% deposit is required. Full payment of the remaining balance will be due at the of completion of job. Failure to pay within two weeks will incur in an additional 1% per week late fee.

  • PURCHASER understands that any changes made to the agreed upon plan and specifications may result in additional costs for labor, materials or both. PURCHASER agrees to pay such additional costs upon presentation of billing by J&E Tile and Flooring

Furniture & Fixtures

  • Prices quoted, unless otherwise specified, does not include moving furniture. Please remove all furniture from areas to be worked on before we arrive. If moving furniture is required a separate charge will be applied to the final invoice. We would only move larger items such as sofas and tables, we do not move personal belongings, clothing, ornaments and other small items. Wardrobes, cabinets, etc. must be emptied of all contents if we are to move them. We do not move items which we determine are of an unwieldy or dangerous nature including, but not limited to, fish tanks, waterbeds, guns, pool tables, grandfather clocks and pianos. ALL ITEMS ARE MOVED AT THE CLIENT’S OWN RISK

  • Door cutting, unless otherwise specified, is not included in your quote, if this should become necessary a separate charge will be applied to the final invoice

IMPORTANT: Dragging heavy furniture across newly installed floor-coverings may cause marks or tears which will be irreparable and will void your warranty.

 Reconnections

  • We do NOT reconnect any electronics or appliances or stoves or toilets or washer or dryers or any other gas or electric equipment. You will need to hire a specialist on the respective field to reconnect those items.

Adult Presence

  • An adult aged 18 or over must be present to let the installers in the property. If you will not be home while the installation is being completed, please maintain cell phone access in case questions or problems come up on the job. If we are not able to reach you, we may make a reasonable decision on how to proceed, which could mean changes to the look and/or additional charges.

Conditions

  • Homeowner is responsible for securing all pets prior to installer’s arrival and for the duration of the installation.

  • Electrical power must be available at the job site.

 Removal of Existing Surfaces

  • Removal and Disposal of any existing flooring is not included with your order unless specifically itemized in your quote.

  • Our Removal and Disposal price is for standard work, if the existing adhesive or setting material is extremely aggressive or if damages to the subfloor occurs during removal, we reserve the right to charge for additional labor and/or materials. We cannot be held responsible for unforeseen situations or conditions found during demolition.

  • We are not licensed to remove flooring or house components with lead paint.

  • We reserve the right to refuse to remove or work on hazardous or unsanitary items or areas.

  • If there are wires or other conditions hidden under the existing floor we must be notified of this fact prior to beginning removal work.

 Scheduled Installation Times

  • Estimated arrival and finish times are only a guide. Many circumstances during the day can cause our crews to run ahead or behind schedule.

Baseboards

  • Some surface scratching may occur. Touch up is the homeowner’s responsibility.

Patterned Carpet

  • No pattern is without skew. No room is perfectly square. We do our best to get the most pleasing look in the room, but some run off is possible.

 Natural Products

  • Products made from natural materials (stone, marble, ceramic, wood, wool, etc.) have natural variations and as a result the products made from these have those variation, they are not defects. No refund or replacement will be made for natural products that have normal color, texture, and appearance variations.

 Pick- up Information

  • Customers who pick-up merchandise at our showroom are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Wait times may vary.

  • Merchandise that is picked up will be in cartons and require assembly. Please be sure that the size of your vehicle will accommodate the size of the merchandise to be picked up. J&E Tile and Flooring is not responsible for loading and securing of merchandise or the safe transportation of merchandise to your home. Damage that occurs during loading or transit is not covered under the warranty, nor can we accept returns on the merchandise.

Cancellation and Return Policy

  • Once you schedule an installation it must be cancelled before 12p.m. on the previous business day (Monday through Friday) otherwise a $25.00 fee will be assessed for late cancellation.

  • We do not accept returns of ordered products or setting materials. There are no returns on cut or installed flooring.

  • Once an order is placed, it is custom for that project. No cancellations, quantity reductions or other changes will be accepted.
